The St Katherines Precinct project exemplifies O’Sullivan Civil Engineering’s specialist capability in working with Grade II listed buildings, requiring exceptional care, expertise, and sensitivity to heritage conservation. Completed in 2014 for main contractor John O’Neil and Partners, this complex undertaking involved extensive underpinning operations to the protected historic structure, enabling basement construction beneath the existing listed building.

Our scope encompassed careful structural underpinning respecting the building’s historic fabric, methodical excavation beneath century-old foundations, comprehensive temporary works installations safeguarding the listed structure throughout, steel reinforcement fixing, precision formwork assembly, and concrete placement.

This project demonstrates our proven track record delivering challenging structural works to sensitive heritage properties while meeting strict conservation requirements and protecting irreplaceable historic architecture.
