The Dukes Avenue project showcases O’Sullivan Civil Engineering’s capability to deliver complex large-scale basement construction beneath existing residential properties. Completed in 2014, this ambitious project created 230 square metres of additional underground living space. The technical complexity required the entire house to be temporarily propped and supported using sophisticated structural systems while excavation and construction proceeded beneath. Our scope included mini piling installation to ensure adequate foundation capacity for the expanded structure, systematic underpinning works to all existing foundations and walls, extensive temporary works frameworks protecting the property throughout, and full basement construction including waterproofing and structural concrete works.
