Located at Albert Place in prestigious Kensington, W8, this 14-month, £400,000 project completed in 2012 demonstrates O’Sullivan Civil Engineering’s expertise in creating basements beneath occupied properties in prime London locations.
The technically demanding scope required secant piled wall installation around the site perimeter, creating a waterproof barrier enabling dry basement construction. We implemented comprehensive temporary works systems retaining the existing building frontage throughout construction, executed systematic underpinning to protect the property’s structural integrity, controlled excavation within the secure piled envelope, and delivered complete basement construction including reinforced concrete floor slabs.
This project exemplifies our capability to add substantial value to premium residential properties through expertly executed basement extensions.
